Anemone is back with the brand new single ‘Wheel To His Heart’. This is the first of the band’s upcoming album. The song was recorded just before the corona crisis with Jan Schenk, the producer who works with bands such as zZz, Claw Boys Claw and Nouveau Vélo. ‘Wheel To His Heart’ had been released on Friday March 5th.
Surfy Guitar Sounds
With this new slow rocker, the trio shows a sensitive and more layered side of themselves. The hard guitar riffs are exchanged for naked vocals and surfy guitar sounds. The halftime drum parts are the common thread through the track, forming the basis for a grim but hopeful song. For ‘Wheel To His Heart’ a video clip has been recorded, on the atmospheric cruise ship SS Rotterdam.
The band is known for its energetic live shows that often end in stretched psychedelic jams, as can be heard on the debut album Silver Star. Anemone previously played at festivals such as Vestrock and Motel Mozaique, participated in Popronde and were support act for bands such as Triggerfinger and Indian Askin.
